We are a Garden Design and Landscape company specialising in bespoke, multi-seasonal projects. Located beside the Christmas tree farm on Blenheim Palace estate in Oxfordshire, we operate out of our Design Barn as a closely knit team. We pride ourselves on building the projects that we design so this means that every garden and landscape is managed entirely in house from our studio, workshop and nursery at the barn. Beyond our team we only work with our trusted network of technicians, contractors and artists on your project. This results in distinctive gardens and landscapes with sustainability and originality at their core.

What's our story?

Nick and Adrienne are the founders of HC. They have devoted their lives to building a design led business that creates innovative outdoor places grounded in sustainable living. They forged their creative partnership over twenty years ago when they originally met at The Surrey University of Art & Design. Although their lives prior spanned very different ranges of creative experiences and disciplines, they realised fully then that they both loved working as part of a collaborative team. Combined with a pursuit of their shared love of the outdoors, they set up Hendy Curzon Gardens and quickly established a reputation for high quality projects delivered with an exemplary level of service and attention to detail.

The HC projects since have enveloped a diverse range of briefs resulting in each one always carrying the signature of its own individual style. The team continues to design these highly landscaped and greenscaped spaces, always striving to let every one of them tell a story, both for their clients and for future generations to come.

Christina Clarke

Studio Manager

Christina thrives on the diversity and fast pace of her role as Studio Manager. As a highly disciplined and organised individual she runs a very tight ship, managing all staff, suppliers and clients. Christina applies the same level of attention to our nursery, as she does to all the people and projects under her care. She also possesses a deep appreciation for the arts and ecocentric design. All of this, combined with a 'roll your sleeves' up attitude makes Christina integral to the core of the company.

Principal Landscaper

Barry cares about putting his best skills to use and working efficiently. A very 'can-do' attitude combined with an economy of words makes Barry a very efficient landscaper. His heart definitely leans towards the hardscaping and construction aspects of the company's projects, but he always applies as much care and attention towards plants.

"Hendy Curzon have kindly designed and constructed two major projects in our garden. On each occasion the team who worked here were a delight, and we are thrilled with both gardens. We live in the middle of a town, and when our gates are open we have a constant stream of passers by photographing and admiring both gardens."

"The garden is looking great in this Autumn weather. One of the nicest things is that your planning has meant it's a year-round garden - right through. Thanks again, we get so much pleasure from it."

"We have so enjoyed the garden, all summer. It's been a great investment. Thank you for delivering such a wonderful addition to the house. The house and garden are in one of the Real Homes spring issues. Very exciting - the shots look great."

- Patrick Moores, Kingham Landscape, Grounds & Gardens

"Incredible people and company to work with, understanding the brief and adding value to it throughout the process. Hendy Curzon tailored the design and implementation of the project by appreciating us as people, how we live, what have and what we would like to achieve. From start to finish always communicating in order to evolve the design to our changing needs. We continue to work together developing the garden as we go. Can't recommend highly enough, an absolute pleasure."

- Corinna & Alistair, Dorchester Garden and Landscape

"We engaged Hendy Curzon Gardens for a complete rear garden re-design and makeover, including a new garden room and outdoor cooking space. The first design proposed was fantastic and we changed very little even when the project got underway; having full trust in their vision based on our initial brief. The mood boards provided along with the design allowed us to truly visualise what our new garden would look like and this helped provide extra confidence.
Their workforce were courteous and considerate of us as occupiers throughout the whole project and the quality of work and materials used were very high.
Now that we have been able to enjoy a full spring and summer season in the garden and enjoy all of its phases as it starts to mature, we are very happy that the team have delivered on every aspect of our brief. We would have no hesitation in using them again for future projects large or small."
