We are Artists. Creators. Engineers. Thinkers. Makers. Inventors. Designers. Technicians, and realists. We are dreamers too. We all care about everything, really. Each of us brings a different talent to the table, and together we make beautiful gardens, grounds and landscapes.
Located beside the Christmas tree farm on Blenheim Palace estate in Oxfordshire, we operate out of our Design Barn as a closely knit team. We pride ourselves on building the projects that we design so this means that every garden and landscape is managed entirely in house from our studio, workshop and nursery at the barn. We normally come to see you first for an informal consultation and you are welcome to come and see us too.
Beyond our team we only work with our trusted network of technicians, contractors and artists on your project. This results in distinctive gardens and landscapes with sustainability and originality at their core.
Nick and Adrienne are the founders of HC. They have devoted their lives to building a design led business that creates innovative outdoor places grounded in sustainable living. They forged their creative partnership over twenty years ago when they originally met at The Surrey University of Art & Design. Although their lives prior spanned very different ranges of creative experiences and disciplines, they realised fully then that they both loved working as part of a collaborative team. Combined with a pursuit of their shared love of the outdoors, they set up Hendy Curzon Gardens and quickly established a reputation for high quality projects delivered with an exemplary level of service and attention to detail.
The HC projects since have enveloped a diverse range of briefs resulting in each one always carrying the signature of its own individual style. The team continues to design, build and install these highly landscaped and greenscaped spaces, always striving to let every one of them tell a story, both for their clients and for future generations to come.
The garden & landscape design team are currently working on some legacy projects and renovation homes & gardens, all are domestic. In development – MBF, a Georgian Farmhouse on 25 acres, The Old Rectory, HWH, a Georgian mansion in Henley-on-Thames and Fox End a grade II thatched cottage. Renovation projects in Combe, Bagley Wood Oxford and Padstow Cornwall. The landscape teams have their boots on the ground currently in Kingham, Oxfordshire. They have recently completed installations of a townhouse garden in Oxford, a family home in Charlbury and a rural project located near Soho Farmhouse.
